Baroque Architecture
What to Expect
Come and see the monuments of the Baroque period that began in the 17th century. Many of our churches and palaces are the greatest exponent of this period in which the architecture and sculptures stood out for the dynamism and imposing of the decorative elements. The Portuguese word "Baroque" defines a pearl of irregular shape.
